Humans have three levels of Consciousness -Sub-consciousness : Actions are automatic and quick in response to the stimulii. These are oft-repeated actions of the persons for which he need not to think.
Consciousness : The stimulii are sent to the mind and the mind analyses them and responds according to its past experiences.
Super-consciousness : Humans do a lot of imaginations, for various purposes and under various contexts, under which they impose different roles on themselves, and behave accordingly. There is no divine element in these roles as is often claimed by cunning Godmen in India and understood by common people.
We perceive our environment through our five sense organs - the eyes, the ears, the nose, the tongue, and the skin, sending signals to the receptor cells in the brain. The brain sends the information so received to our sub-conscious level of the mind. If the information matches something in this level of consciousness, it is sent to the memory for a previous reference. In accordance with this, the information is compared with those already existing in the memory by our intellect. If it matches with the existing information, command to act is issued to the body's action organs. If it does not match the existing information, the additional information is added to the memory and then the action command is issued.
If the stimulii does not match anything stored in our subconsciousness, it is rederred to our consciousness and then sent to memory for further analysis and action command. If there is some stimulus that does not match those stored in our consciousness also, then we are forced to adopt an imaginary super-consciousness, and act through sun-consciousness, memory and intellect.
Here it is noteworthy that we have seven action-organs - eyes, lips, tongue, hands, feet, uterus and anus, and not five as is often preached by the Indian spiritualists.
